How Tenant Advisory Group collects, uses and retains your data.

Who we are
Tenant Advisory Group, LLC ("TAG", "we", "us") is a commercial real estate tenant representation brokerage based in Chicago, Illinois. This policy explains what personal information we collect through tagcommercialbroker.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What this site does not do
This site has no visitor accounts, no comment sections and no visitor uploads. There is nothing here for you to register for or log in to. Staff at Tenant Advisory Group sign in to a private page to update the property listings; that sign-in is not open to the public, it sets a single cookie that keeps the member of staff signed in, and it collects nothing about visitors. If you have read a previous version of this policy that referred to comments, avatars or user profiles, it described software defaults rather than this website.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Information you give us
Contact and inquiry forms
When you submit a form on this site, we collect the information you type into it: your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message. We use it to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to carry out the brokerage engagement.
Submissions are screened automatically for spam before they reach us. That screening looks at the content of the message and at signals from your browser session. A submission the screen flags is routed to a monitored review inbox rather than being deleted, so that a genuine inquiry wrongly flagged still reaches a person.
We do not require you to provide any of this information to browse the site. You provide it only if you choose to contact us.
Scheduling a meeting
Some team members link to Calendly to let you book a meeting. If you follow one of those links you leave this website and provide your information directly to Calendly under Calendly’s own privacy policy. We receive the booking details for the meeting you schedule.
Information collected automatically
Server and security logs
Our hosting provider records standard request information — IP address, browser user agent, the pages requested, and the date and time — for the purposes of serving the site, diagnosing faults, and detecting abuse such as automated attacks. This is ordinary web-server logging and we do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use the site in aggregate — which pages are read, which sources referred them, and where journeys break down. These tools set cookies in your browser and process usage data on our behalf.
We use this to improve the website. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine analytics data with the information you submit through a contact form.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics specifically using the browser add-on Google publishes for that purpose. The site works normally with these cookies blocked.
Embedded content from other websites
Our contact page embeds a Google Maps frame so you can find our office. Embedded content from another website behaves as though you had visited that website directly: the provider can set cookies, collect data about your interaction with the embed, and apply its own tracking, whether or not you interact with it.
Articles on this site may also include embedded media such as videos. The same applies to those.
Who we share your data with
We share personal information only with the service providers that operate this website and our correspondence, and only so they can perform that function for us:

Vercel — website hosting and delivery, which involves processing the server logs described above.
Mailgun — the email service that delivers form submissions from the website to our inboxes.
Google — analytics and the embedded map, as described above.
Calendly — meeting scheduling, where you choose to use it.
Other disclosures
In the course of a brokerage engagement we may share your information with parties to your transaction — landlords, listing brokers, attorneys, lenders or other advisors — but only as needed to pursue the transaction you have asked us to work on.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, court order or regulatory obligation, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not provide it to third parties for their own marketing.
How long we retain your data
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and, where a business relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship and for as long afterwards as we are required to retain brokerage records or as is reasonably necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
Submissions caught by the spam screen are kept only as long as needed to review them and are then deleted.
Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics.
What rights you have over your data
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop sending you marketing email at any time, and every marketing message we send includes an unsubscribe link.
To make any of these requests, email info@tagcommercialbroker.com or write to us at the address above. We will need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We do not charge for this, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights — for example under state privacy legislation or, for visitors from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, under the GDPR. We honour verified requests of this kind regardless of where you are located.
Some information we cannot delete on request: records we are obliged to keep for legal, regulatory, tax or security reasons.
How we protect your data
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and are checked against automated-abuse signals before delivery. Access to the inboxes that receive inquiries is limited to the TAG staff who need it, and those accounts are protected by the security controls of our email provider.
No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will investigate it, take steps to contain it, and notify affected individuals and any regulator where the law requires us to.
Children
This is a commercial real estate website intended for business use. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we collect or use personal information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
